Fashion Image Institute provides students from around the globe access to Fashion, Image and Style courses and certifications. We are the educational / product branch of Gillian Armour Image Consulting, a successful, full-service corporate consulting firm with offices in Hawaii and California. Our corporate office is in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

We offer continuing education courses. Here at the Institute our mission is to help students prepare for professional careers in Image, Fashion and Style. Our content rich, highly focused curriculum will prepare the learner for work in the exciting world of fashion. Image and fashion consulting are hard to break into without practical hands-on knowledge of the fashion industry. Book learning gets you only so far. Gillian's decades of experience in the fashion industry, from such diverse area's as fashion writing to fashion merchandising and design, combined with many years as an Image Consultant gives her the talent and expertise to nurture, develop and mentor other women (and men) who have a strong desire to be experts in this field.

If you are interested in becoming a Certified Image Professional, Fashion Stylist or Seasonal Color Analyst, we offer professional training and certification. Both our in-house and on-line training programs cover the many aspects of Image Consulting including Fashion 101, Fashion Design, Figure Analysis, Color Analysis, Etiquette and Wardrobe. Upon successful completion of any course, and after passing the final exams, students are awarded with professional certification. No CEU's are awarded with these certifications.

About Gillian Armour
Gillian Armour AICI CIP is a style expert. As a Certified Professional Image Consultant she understands the impact of image on self esteem and on career. She is the author of many books on image, writes for publications and newspapers and is a recognized expert on image and style related topics. She is one of only 83 Certified Image Professionals in the USA and a board member of the Association of Image Consultants. Gillian is a Certified Color Analyst specializing in ethnic skin coloring. Over the years she has successfully transformed hundreds of clients.

As a professional speaker, Gillian has presented seminars and programs to professional associations (both regional and national), military organizations and Fortune 500 companies. She has been featured in many newspapers and journals and is a widely sought expert for image and fashion related articles. She has made television appearances on the award winning NBC show Dream Makeover Hawaii as the official image consultant and stylist for the show.

Her career in retail fashion reaches back 25 years and includes executive and managerial positions. She has produced and commentated fashion shows, photography shoots and television commercials. As gallery director of her own gallery for five years she has produced jewelry and art shows. Additionally she has styled for television miniseries and celebrity personal appearances.

She is the founder of Best Dressed a New Mexico non-profit organization benefiting women and teens from economically challenged backgrounds.
