When I was eighteen, I dreamed of doing something in the fashion industry. Things didn’t work out that way, and I spent the next thirty years of my life raising children and doing bookkeeping. Now, with the children raised and the realization that I still can do something different; I have found The Fashion Image Institute. What a blessing that you offer online classes!
I have just completed the Color Analysis Certification Online Course and can say I have gained much from the class. I watched all of the slides the first night and thought I was ready for the final exam, only to be told differently by Ms. Armour! She was so right to tell me to slow down and absorb as much as I could. I think I must have watched the slides 10 more times and read the manual 3 times, but I learned so much more than I would have if I had taken that test the first night!
I can now distinguish warm and cool tones and am on my way to conquering contrasts. I feel confident about draping my customers and performing an in depth color analysis on them. The business tools are very helpful and I have already used the references for suppliers. I learned how to mix and match colors using a color wheel and how to distinguish skin tones by mixing the proper colors.
You are never too old to learn. I look forward to more training from the Fashion Image Institute. Thanks for offering these classes online.

Thank you for creating the certification program for Image Consultants. I have always been interested in fashion and design, but pursued business and finance in my undergrad studies. In 2009, I decided it was time to leave the corporate world and venture out as an entrepreneur. My business began with the closet audit concept and has grown into public speaking, personal shopping and writing a monthly style column.
Your curriculum provides the flexibility to study when it's convenient to my life, yet was challenging enough to push me to learn more about designers and design styles that I hadn't been exposed to. For example, this spring there was a showing of a local private collection of Japanese designers: Yohji Yamamoto, Issey Miyake and Rei Kawakubo. Six months ago I wouldn't have even understood the importance of viewing these collections, but because of your course work inspiring me to attend; I can visualize their designs and actually pronounce their names!
I truly enjoyed the course work and look forward to where my new career will take me.

I'm really pleased that I find your online training course at internet. I'm a housewife from Sweden with children in schools, living in North Carolina. To participate personally in a course couldn't be practical in my case. It has been perfect studying at my conditions and then practicing at my friends as well. I have been thinking of educate to become an image consultant for long time. As long as I remember, I have been helping friends and family members with their clothing and styling in general. I wanted to take the time to thank you for what you have provided for aspiring Stylist, such as myself, the opportunity to become certified in such a short period of time. Right before I enrolled in your online course, I had registered in a BA Fashion and Retail Management program, where I would have graduated in 2014. Being that the program was completely online, I was becoming discouraged and overwhelmed on the amount of work I had, which had nothing to do with fashion or the history of fashion.
